What is kinetic typography?
Kinetic typography is text in motion: words and letters move, stretch, change and cut in time with their meaning, a voice or a beat, so the type carries the message on its own. It started in film title sequences and is now everywhere words need to land fast, often with no one on screen.
Where you see it
Lyric videos
Each line lands on the beat, so people read along as they listen.
Quote cards
A quote or a review where the key words get a move of their own.
Product launches
The product name and a few big claims, cut to music.
Reels captions
Big words that pop in one at a time and read with the sound off.
Title sequences
Opening titles and section cards for videos, talks and streams.

Six kinetic typography techniques
Each one is a real template made in UX Pilot. Start from it, or name the technique in your brief.
- Pro01
Stretch and squash
Letters pull wide and snap back on the beat. Works for event posters and loud headlines.

- 02
Inflate
Letters puff up like balloons, wobble and settle. Works for playful product names and invites.

- Pro03
Type-on
Words appear one keystroke at a time behind a caret. Works for announcements and short, direct lines.
Template: Elastic tracking headline
- Pro04
Scramble and glitch
Text breaks into slices and noise, then resolves. Works for tech launches, music drops and night events.
Template: Glitch slice reveal
- 05
Split-flap
Every tile riffles through letters like a station board. Works for menus, schedules and countdowns.

- Pro06
Echo trail
A word moves and leaves copies of itself behind. Works for one strong word or a brand title.

How it works
How to make kinetic typography
- 01
Write your line
Type the words you want to move: a headline, a quote, a lyric or a product name. Or paste your website and UX Pilot picks up your colors, fonts and copy.
- 02
Pick a technique or describe it
Start from a template, or ask for a stretch, a type-on, a glitch or a split-flap board. The AI builds it scene by scene, and you refine it by chatting or on the timeline with keyframes and easing.
- 03
Export a video or a GIF
Download MP4 or WebM with sound, or a GIF, and ask for 9:16, square and 4:5 cuts of the same piece. Paid plans export at up to 60 fps.
