Rose refraction: a champagne ellipse of light with magenta flashes
Rose refraction is the warmer take on the Lens geometry: Shape opening at 85 stretches the ellipse across most of the frame and Direction at 32 tilts it down toward the lower right. Most of the ring glows in cream and peach, while its magenta First color flashes in two spots along the inner edge. Depth / light falloff at 38 keeps the band slimmer than in Prismatic lens, so the dark plum background shows through and the shape reads as refracted light rather than a solid ring.
Make it yours
Give the ellipse some margin
At 85, Shape opening pushes the ring close to the canvas edges. Bring it down to 60, or lower Subject scale from 100 to 80, when the ellipse needs to frame a product photo with breathing room around it.
Let more magenta in
Tonal contrast at 65 keeps the ring mostly champagne. Raise it to 90 and the magenta First color and apricot Second color claim more of the band, for a bolder, more saturated glow.
FAQ
Which products suit a warm ring of light?
Anything with a premium, tactile feel: skincare, jewelry, fashion drops and editorial features. The cream and peach tones flatter product photography, and the open center of the ellipse leaves space for a bottle, a watch or a portrait.
How it works
Choose a light study
Start from one of 17 looks such as Spectral eclipse, Electric portal or Aurora curtain, or pick one of 8 starting geometries.
Refine the light
Adjust shape opening, light falloff, soft focus, light bloom, tonal contrast, exposure, diffusion and organic distortion, then drag the artwork to place its subject.
Color and use it
Set the background, first, second and light colors, press Play if you want movement, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
