Night current: swirling lines of rose and lavender light in the dark
Night current starts from the same Folds geometry as Polar folds but pushes Organic distortion to 50, so the waves kink and swirl like currents in dark water. Shape opening at 33 keeps each line thin, Depth / light falloff at 68 gives the swings a large amplitude, and the lines glow in raspberry rose and lavender around deep blue cores. It is busy by design, suited to music, gaming and nightlife visuals or a full-bleed section divider.
Make it yours
Calm the current
Organic distortion is what twists the waves. Drop it from 50 to about 15 and the lines settle back into regular rows; push it to 80 and they break into a liquid, marbled texture.
Slow it for a background
Press Play and Organic motion sets the currents flowing. For a hero behind text, lower Movement speed from 12 to about 5 and Movement intensity from 55 to 30 so the drift stays hypnotic rather than distracting.
FAQ
Is a busy light pattern a good hero background?
It can be, if the text has somewhere to rest. Give the headline a solid panel or a dark scrim, or raise Subject scale so fewer, larger lines cross the frame. Night current works best at full bleed behind short, bold copy.
How it works
Choose a light study
Start from one of 17 looks such as Spectral eclipse, Electric portal or Aurora curtain, or pick one of 8 starting geometries.
Refine the light
Adjust shape opening, light falloff, soft focus, light bloom, tonal contrast, exposure, diffusion and organic distortion, then drag the artwork to place its subject.
Color and use it
Set the background, first, second and light colors, press Play if you want movement, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
