Orbit of light: two crossing loops of glowing spectral light
Orbit of light uses the Orbit geometry, two elliptical loops that cross at right angles like the paths in an atom symbol, turned by a Direction of -35. The default palette splits them into icy white and electric blue on the upper left and coral orange on the right and lower side. Light bloom at 65 makes the loops burn against the near-black background, while Soft focus at 16 keeps their edges sharp, a strong mark for science, AI and developer products.
Make it yours
Set the loops in motion
Press Play and, with Motion behavior on Organic, the colors travel slowly around the loops. Raise Movement intensity above 55 when you want the orbit to feel busy, as in an AI thinking state.
Thicken the paths
Depth / light falloff at 45 draws slim loops. Take it to 80 for broad bands of light that still read at small sizes, such as an app icon backdrop or a loading screen.
FAQ
Can I use an orbit of light as a logo backdrop?
Yes. The loops leave a dark center where they cross, so a logo or avatar placed there gets a natural frame. Keep Subject scale near 100, turn Direction to 0 for a symmetrical cross, and export the result once you sign in with a free UX Pilot account.
How it works
Choose a light study
Start from one of 17 looks such as Spectral eclipse, Electric portal or Aurora curtain, or pick one of 8 starting geometries.
Refine the light
Adjust shape opening, light falloff, soft focus, light bloom, tonal contrast, exposure, diffusion and organic distortion, then drag the artwork to place its subject.
Color and use it
Set the background, first, second and light colors, press Play if you want movement, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
