Ultraviolet: a high-contrast orb gradient in ultramarine and hot pink
Ultraviolet is a bold orb, a big disc with Shape opening at 74 and Tonal contrast raised to 80. That extra contrast splits the gradient into distinct diagonal bands of ultramarine, a pale periwinkle streak and saturated hot pink across the lower half. Set against an inky indigo background with Light bloom at 55, it has the charge of a club flyer or an AI product launch.
Make it yours
Blend it into an aura
Tonal contrast 80 is what separates the colors so sharply. Bring it back to 50 and the ultramarine and pink melt into a smooth aura gradient, softer for onboarding or empty states.
Change the streak
The pale diagonal line comes from Light color, set to periwinkle #aabbf7. Make it pure white for a sharper highlight, or match it to Second color so the pink runs almost uninterrupted from the midline down.
FAQ
What makes an orb gradient look ultraviolet?
A dark violet base and colors near the edge of the visible spectrum. Here the Background is #07071a, almost black with a hint of indigo, the First color is ultramarine #2524bc and the Second color is hot pink #f85492, so the glow feels like blacklight.
How it works
Choose a light study
Start from one of 17 looks such as Spectral eclipse, Electric portal or Aurora curtain, or pick one of 8 starting geometries.
Refine the light
Adjust shape opening, light falloff, soft focus, light bloom, tonal contrast, exposure, diffusion and organic distortion, then drag the artwork to place its subject.
Color and use it
Set the background, first, second and light colors, press Play if you want movement, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
