Apricot ribbon: a warm S-curve of light across dark plum
Apricot ribbon draws a single band of light with the Ribbon geometry and turns it with a Direction of -28, so it enters from the left edge and climbs steeply off the top right. Shape opening at 80 makes the band wide, with a thin peach thread on one side, a violet stripe inside it and a broad apricot and cream body. Organic distortion at 35 bends the curve just enough to feel hand drawn, which suits posters, covers and hero sections with text in the dark plum space.
Make it yours
Level the ribbon for a banner
Direction is -28, which sends the curve up toward the corner. Set it to 0 and the ribbon runs straight across the canvas, a better fit for wide banners and email headers where text sits above or below it.
Thin it into a thread
Shape opening controls how wide the band is. From its 80, bring it down to about 35 for a slim line of apricot light, then lower Depth / light falloff from 62 if you also want a gentler swing.
FAQ
How do I keep text readable over a ribbon of light?
Give the band its own side of the layout. Drag the artwork or change Position Y so the ribbon passes below the headline, and keep the dark plum Background behind the text. If it still competes, lower Light bloom from 52 so the glow around the ribbon stays tight.
How it works
Choose a light study
Start from one of 17 looks such as Spectral eclipse, Electric portal or Aurora curtain, or pick one of 8 starting geometries.
Refine the light
Adjust shape opening, light falloff, soft focus, light bloom, tonal contrast, exposure, diffusion and organic distortion, then drag the artwork to place its subject.
Color and use it
Set the background, first, second and light colors, press Play if you want movement, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
