Daylight silk: a pastel wave of light on a warm cream background
Daylight silk is built on a light background, a warm cream at #ebe4dd, with a single Ribbon wave rolling across it. The band carries periwinkle along its upper side and peach coral below, and its edges turn almost pure white where the light lifts off the paper. Light bloom is kept low at 22, so the wave stays silky and defined on bright, airy landing pages and product sites.
Make it yours
Keep the bloom low on light
On a pale Background, extra Light bloom washes the band toward white. Stay near the preset's 22, and if you need more presence raise Tonal contrast instead, which deepens the periwinkle and coral without whitening them.
Give it a paper texture
Film grain sits at a barely visible 4. Take it to 10 or 12 and the cream background picks up a fine, printed texture that pairs well with serif type and editorial layouts.
FAQ
Does Chromatic Light work for light-mode designs?
Yes. Any look can sit on a pale Background, and Daylight silk shows how: a cream base, pastel First color and Second color, and low bloom. Use dark text on the cream area and place the wave with Position Y so it runs clear of your headline.
