Isometric: stacked indigo cubes and a hexagon outline on ink
Each tile in the Isometric motif is a cube with three faces: periwinkle on top, electric indigo on the left and a darker indigo on the right, which is how Two colors mode shades this motif. The cubes lock together on a near-black navy at 70 Opacity, and an Edges fade clears the center so the 3D effect frames the layout instead of filling it. A six-point Polygon, a hexagon in light violet Outline with Soft at 0, repeats the silhouette of one cube.
Make it yours
Light the cubes differently
The top face takes Secondary foreground and the side faces take Foreground. Set Secondary foreground to pale mint or white to fake a strong light from above, or switch Color Mode to One color for a tone-on-tone version.
Scale the blocks up
Cube size comes from Shape scale, 30 here, with Spacing at 160. At 60 you get a few big architectural blocks behind a hero, and at 14 the cubes turn into a woven texture that works on small cards.
FAQ
What is an isometric pattern used for?
Isometric cubes suggest structure, building blocks and systems, so they show up on developer tools, infrastructure and data products, fintech and game UI. This preset keeps the idea but dims it: the cubes sit at 70 percent opacity on a dark background and fade out in the middle, leaving room for a headline or a product screenshot.
How it works
Build the pattern
Pick a motif and a square, brick or hex layout, then set scale, spacing, weight, rotation, two pattern colors and a background.
Add a shape and a texture
Place one of 8 shapes with a solid, outline or gradient fill, then layer one of 9 textures with a blend mode and opacity.
Frame and use it
Choose a ratio from 1:1 to 9:16, preview it in hero, card and mobile layouts, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
