70s waves: fat orange stripes and a brown arc on woven cream
Wave lines at Weight 90, close to the heaviest the motif allows, alternate burnt orange and golden amber over a cream background with Randomness at 0 so every crest lines up. A brown arc with an Inner radius of 55, which makes it a very chunky band, sits low at Shape center Y 0.62 like a half-set sun or a rainbow stripe. Fabric texture at 40 opacity with a dark chocolate Tint adds a woven, upholstery feel.
Make it yours
Build a two-tone rainbow
For an arc, Points decides how far the band sweeps: 6 gives a little over a half circle. Set Fill to Gradient so the band runs from brown into the amber stored in Secondary color, and try 8 if the arc should wrap further.
Calm the stripes for UI
At Weight 90 the waves dominate. Lower Weight to 40 and change Color Mode from Two colors to One color, and the same motif becomes a quiet retro pinstripe you can run behind cards and footers.
FAQ
Which colors give a pattern a 1970s feel?
Warm, slightly muddy hues with no pure white or black: burnt orange, amber, mustard and chocolate brown on a cream base. This preset uses orange and amber waves, a mid-brown arc and an ecru background, then tints the Fabric texture dark brown so the colors look dyed into cloth instead of lit by a screen.
