Pixel Canopy: leaf green and amber pixels thinning out over a dark teal ground
Picture light through leaves, rendered in pixels. Pixel Canopy divides the canvas into small square cells and switches on roughly half of them near the focal point at 56 by 58, then fewer as you move away, because Tension at 64 raises the cut-off with distance. Leaf green and amber share the lit cells, the green ones drop out first toward the edges, and slightly rounded corners keep the dark teal field from feeling like a harsh bitmap.
Make it yours
Go chunkier or finer
Want an 8-bit feel? Lower Rhythm from 70 to 0 and the cells grow into big blocks. Going the other way, Rhythm at 100 produces a fine mesh that reads as texture more than as pixels.
Even out the coverage
Tension makes the pixels thin out away from the focal point and also rounds their corners. Set Tension to 0 for square pixels spread evenly, or move Focal point X and Focal point Y to relocate the dense patch.
FAQ
How do I get a different pixel layout from Pixel Canopy?
Change Variation. It is 132 in this preset, and every value from 1 to 999 switches a different set of cells on while keeping the cell size, colors and density. When one works, a free UX Pilot account lets you export it as HTML or JSON or use it on the UX Pilot canvas.
How it works
Pick a visual system
Choose one of 20 families such as Echo Rings, Halo Grid, Particle Coast, Glyph Terrain or Ribbon Stack.
Compose it
Choose a balanced, focal, edge or repeat composition, move the focal point and set density, scale, rotation, rhythm, tension, depth and grain.
Judge it in context and use it
Preview it in product, landing, AI and mobile layouts, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
