Cut Paper: stacked slate blue and terracotta paper layers with jagged cut edges
Cut Paper builds a collage from 17 irregular, many-sided shapes, stacked from largest to smallest around a focal point at 64 by 40 like a paper relief seen from above. Fills rotate through terracotta, slate blue and a paler tint of that blue, each slightly translucent, and every layer keeps a thick cream outline that reads as the core of cut card. Grain is at 10, the highest of any preset here, which gives the flat colors a fibrous surface.
Make it yours
Thicken the paper edge
The cream outline between layers grows with Rhythm. At 56 it is a medium border; raise Rhythm to 100 for a chunky edge that looks like thick card, or drop it to 0 for a fine line and simpler silhouettes.
Stack fewer, wider sheets
Element count decides how many layers are piled up; the default 16 gives 17 sheets. At 6 each sheet shows as a wide band of color, and the jagged outline of every layer becomes much easier to read.
FAQ
How do I make Cut Paper look less digital?
Most of the work is already done: Grain is at 10 out of 30 and the shapes have irregular straight-cut sides. For more texture, raise Grain toward 18, keep the Light color a warm off-white instead of pure white, and set Speed to 0 so the layers do not sway. Muted Ink and Accent colors also help it pass as real card.
