Persimmon Sun: bold arcs and hairline rays around a rising sun
Persimmon Sun places a solid persimmon disc low in the left corner, at Focal point X 22 and Focal point Y 74, and scores the space around it with twelve rings of broken arcs in persimmon and soft peach. Hairline rays fan out from the sun across the warm cream Ground, and thin ink circles mark every third ring like the guides on a drafting table. Grain at a Material strength of 8 softens the flat color into something closer to a screen print.
Make it yours
Bring the cobalt arc into view
The Signal color, cobalt, sits on one arc in the middle ring, which lands just past the left edge with the sun this far out. Raise Focal point X to about 40 and that blue stroke swings into the frame.
Thicken the strokes
Depth sets both the size of the sun and the weight of every arc. At 60 the heaviest strokes read as bold bands; push Depth to 100 for poster-weight arcs, or drop it to 20 for a fine, technical diagram.
FAQ
How do I spread the arcs further apart in Persimmon Sun?
Raise Rhythm. It sets the spacing between rings, so going from 50 to 100 pushes them about a third further apart. Element count adds or removes rings, and Tension lengthens the sweep of each arc.
How it works
Pick a direction
Start from one of 20 looks such as Transformative Teal, Swiss Red, Bioluminescent or Riso Club, or choose a Family such as Echo rings, Particle coast or Ribbon stack.
Compose it
Choose a Balanced, Focal, Edge, Repeat or Interface composition, drag to move the focal point, and set Element count, Shape scale, Rotation, Rhythm, Tension and Depth.
Set the roles and use it
