Deep Forest: a current of fine threads with one gold strand
Deep Forest packs more than a hundred fine threads into a current that runs across a near-black Ground, with broad dark green bands sliding underneath like shadows in moving water. Most threads are pale Text ink, about one in six is Brand 2 green, and the thread that passes closest to the focal point is drawn in the gold Signal color. A Rotation of 350 tips the flow slightly uphill, and grain at a Material strength of 8 keeps the darks from looking flat.
Make it yours
Calm the current
Tension at 55 lets each thread swell and dip with the flow. Bring Tension down to 15 and the strands run in near-parallel lines, a quieter backdrop for long-form text or a dark login screen.
Widen the shadow bands
Depth sets how wide the dark Brand bands are. Raise it from 50 to 100 and they thicken by almost half while the pale threads turn brighter; lower it to 10 for slim dark seams under the threads.
FAQ
Why is there only one gold line in Deep Forest?
The Signal role is reserved for a single element in every system. Here it is the thread whose path passes nearest the focal point, so moving Focal point Y up or down picks a different strand to light in gold, while the rest stay pale or green.
How it works
Pick a direction
Start from one of 20 looks such as Transformative Teal, Swiss Red, Bioluminescent or Riso Club, or choose a Family such as Echo rings, Particle coast or Ribbon stack.
Compose it
Choose a Balanced, Focal, Edge, Repeat or Interface composition, drag to move the focal point, and set Element count, Shape scale, Rotation, Rhythm, Tension and Depth.
Set the roles and use it
Color the Ground, Text ink, Brand, Brand 2 and Signal roles, pick a Material and its strength, preview it in product, landing, AI and mobile layouts, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
