Fold fan: a pleated SVG shape of outlined triangles from one apex
All 16 triangles in Fold fan share a single apex and sweep most of the way around it, leaving a gap on the left like an unfinished paper fan. Blade lengths rise and fall gently, so the outer edge has a pleated, irregular profile instead of a perfect circle. The default ink-on-paper colors and a 1.5 Weight give it an architectural sketch quality suited to studios, galleries and editorial openers.
Make it yours
Pull the apex off-center
Open space moves the point where all triangles meet. At 0 it sits near the middle of the fan; at the preset 15 it is slightly left; at 50 it slides far to the left and the blades stretch into long, dramatic shards.
Add pleats
Raise Element count from 16 to 40 and the triangles narrow into tight pleats that read as a shell or a folded paper rosette; lower it to 8 for a few broad blades with a more graphic, logo-like presence. Complexity changes how quickly blade length varies around the fan.
FAQ
Which Canvas format suits Fold fan best?
The fan is roughly as tall as it is wide, so Square frames it most evenly for social posts and avatars. Landscape, the default, leaves space on both sides for a headline, and Portrait works for posters if you raise Shape scale above 100. Use Horizontal position and Vertical position to tuck the apex toward a corner.
