ASCII text generator with block letters and FIGlet fonts
ASCII Text Lab turns text to ASCII: type a word or a short line and get an ASCII banner of big letters made of ordinary characters. Pick Solid or Solid Slant for filled block letters with a line shadow, the look of today's command line logos, or one of 12 FIGlet fonts such as Standard, Slant and Big, laid out the way the figlet command lays them out. Give the letters a gradient, then copy the banner as plain text, with its colors for a terminal, as a Markdown block for a README or as a code comment.
How it works
Type your text
Enter up to 60 characters of letters, numbers and punctuation. Long lines wrap at the width you set, from 20 to 160 columns.
Pick a font
Choose Solid or Solid Slant for filled block letters with a line shadow, or one of 12 FIGlet fonts including Standard, Slant, Big, Block and Script, then set the letter spacing to the font's default, full width, fitted or smushed.
Color and copy
Pick a gradient such as Sunset or Ocean or a single text color, the background and a plain, glow or terminal style, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to copy the text, copy it for a terminal, download a PNG or use the banner on the canvas.
