Split disc: a bold SVG symbol made of two offset striped halves
A disc of 26 thick horizontal bars is cut down the middle and the halves are pushed apart, the left one nudged up and the right one nudged down. With Weight at 4, the heaviest line of any preset in the tool, and round bar ends, it reads less as a pattern and more as a logo-grade symbol. Cobalt on cool off-white reinforces that: think record labels, fintech marks and conference identities.

Set the gap between halves
Curvature moves the halves apart horizontally. At the preset 44 there is a clear channel between them; at 0 they almost meet and only the vertical stagger separates them, while 100 pushes them far enough apart to read as two separate shapes.
Trade bar count against Weight
26 bars at Weight 4 keep plenty of paper between the stripes. For an icon, drop Element count to 10 and raise Weight to 8 for chunky bars; for a fine engraved disc, go to 48 bars at Weight 1.5.
FAQ
Why does Variation not change the Split disc preset?
Split disc is fully deterministic: nothing in it is randomized, so the Variation number has nothing to reshuffle, and Complexity is not used either. The look is defined by Element count, Weight, Curvature for the horizontal gap and Open space for the stagger and the inner margin. That predictability is useful when the shape has to be reproduced exactly as a brand asset.
How it works
Choose a system
Pick one of 24 geometric systems, from Ray crown and Iris fold to Latitude cage and Twist tower.
Shape the geometry
Set density, detail, bend, openness, weight, scale, rotation and offset, and change the variation for a new arrangement.
Color, frame and use it
