Solar edge: sunset light that hugs the edges of the frame
The edge field pushes light out to the borders, and Solar edge leans into that with a Shape scale of 120 so the two bands sit right at the sides. They carry the sunset spectrum over a dark wine backdrop, tilted by an Angle of 200 and swaying noticeably thanks to Curvature at 70. What you get is a warm frame with an empty middle, which is exactly what a pricing block, a form or a long headline needs.
Make it yours
Move the glow to the top and bottom
Angle is 200 in this preset, which keeps the bands close to vertical. Set it to 90 or 270 and they lie flat along the top and bottom instead, a better fit for wide banners and footers.
Steady the heat haze
Curvature at 70 makes the edges sway like hot air over a road. For a more architectural frame, lower it toward 15; the bands straighten out while Speed, still at its default 20, keeps a gentle drift.
FAQ
Which layouts suit an edge-lit background?
Anything with a busy center: pricing tables, sign-up forms, dashboards, long headlines. The light stays at the borders and the middle shows the plain dark Light color, so text contrast is predictable there. If the bands creep inward on narrow screens, raise Shape scale a little or reduce Spread from 62, then check the Mobile preview.
