Aurora basin: a steep valley of aurora light on dark teal
Set Angle to 0, choose the valley curve and push Curvature to 90: that is the whole idea behind Aurora basin. The ribbon climbs steeply at both sides and dips in the middle, forming a bowl of aurora-spectrum light over a dark teal slate backdrop. Spread at 65 gives the walls of the bowl real thickness, and Complexity at 6 adds the layered curtains you expect from northern lights.
Make it yours
Flip the bowl into a dome
Curve is valley here. Change it to arch with the same Curvature of 90 and the light vaults over the content instead of cradling it, a quick way to get a second composition from the same palette.
Flatten the walls
A Curvature of 90 is near the top of the range and makes the sides climb sharply. Easing it to 50-60 produces a shallower dish that leaves more usable space for a headline in the center.
FAQ
How is the aurora spectrum different from prism?
Prism cycles evenly through the whole rainbow. Aurora is a moodier palette chosen to feel like sky glow, and this preset pairs it with a teal-tinted Light color so the dark areas belong to the same family. You can switch Spectrum between the two at any time without losing the basin shape.
