Glass bloom: a prism light effect made for light-mode pages
Every other starting point in Spectrum Flow Lab is built on a dark backdrop; Glass bloom is the exception. Its Light color is a pale lavender white, and on it sits a halo enlarged to a Shape scale of 150 so the prism ring nearly fills the frame. Glow at 86 and Grain at 2 keep the color airy and clean, like the rainbow a glass of water throws onto a wall, and a Speed of 6 makes the movement barely perceptible.
Make it yours
Tint the page instead of using white
Light color sets the backdrop, here a lavender-tinted white. Try a warm cream or a very pale mint to match your surface color, and keep it bright so the ring still looks like light falling on a wall.
Shrink the ring into an accent
At a Shape scale of 150 the halo runs close to the frame edges. Pull it back to 70-90 and the bloom becomes a contained mark you can park behind a product shot or a card, with Spread at 58 keeping its edge soft.
FAQ
Can a prism light effect work on a white background?
Yes, and this preset is set up for it. The backdrop is a pale lavender white instead of the usual near-black, the halo is scaled up to 150, and Grain is almost off at 2 so the page stays clean. Check text contrast where the ring passes behind copy, and lower Glow from 86 if the colors feel too strong next to a restrained light UI.
