Mercury bloom: icy liquid metal petals on midnight navy
Mercury bloom uses the bloom shape, a cluster of rounded petals, and gives it a smooth, poured surface. Softness rises to 65 and Distortion eases to 28, so the 5 bands melt into one another the way light rolls over real mercury. An icy pale blue Ink, a steel blue Accent and a midnight navy Light color make it feel cold and calm, a good match for AI, health and fintech visuals.
Make it yours
Find the best petal angle
The form is turned only slightly, with Rotate X 22 and Rotate Y 32. Bloom changes a lot with angle, so sweep Rotate Y toward 90 to see the petals edge-on, or back to 0 for a flat flower.
Add a colder glint
Drop Softness from 65 to about 35 if you want visible stripe edges on each petal. Pair that with Lighting near 120 so the icy blue still glows against the navy.
FAQ
What shape is the bloom in Liquid Metal Lab?
Bloom is one of the 10 built-in forms: a ring of rounded, overlapping petals that reads as an abstract flower. Because it has many curved surfaces close together, reflections jump from petal to petal as the metal flows, which is where this preset gets its liquid feel.
How it works
Choose a form
Pick a knot, sphere, torus, capsule, bloom, satellite, helix, links, gem or ribbon, or import a GLB, OBJ or STL model.
Shape the metal
Set bands, distortion, softness, scratch density, light and speed, and choose paper, primary and secondary colors.
Frame and use it
Rotate and size the form, preview it in landing, card and mobile layouts, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
