Liquid metal generator for chrome 3D forms
Liquid Metal Lab wraps a 3D form in flowing, reflective metal. Start with one of 10 built-in shapes such as a knot, torus, helix or gem, or import your own model, then shape the chrome with bands, distortion, softness and light. The surface animates in real time and you can rotate the form to find the best angle.
How it works

FAQ
What is a liquid metal effect?
It is a reflective, flowing chrome surface, like mercury, rendered on a 3D form. Moving bands of light and distortion make the metal look molten rather than rigid.
Can I make a chrome text effect?
The tool works on 3D forms, not typed text. For chrome lettering, import a GLB, OBJ or STL model of your text or logo and apply the metal to it.
Which 3D files can I import?
Liquid Metal Lab imports GLB, OBJ and STL models up to 35 MB. Choose the custom shape to use your model instead of a built-in form.
Is the liquid metal generator free?
Exploring is free and runs in your browser. Using your result on the UX Pilot canvas or exporting it needs a free UX Pilot account.
