Solar fold: a warm chrome vortex twisting into an amber knot
Solar fold turns the surface into a Vortex, so the folds spiral inward and pinch into a small hourglass knot at the center of the frame. Amber #e49b48 and slate teal #417487 wrap around that core, and Light direction swings to 115 so the warm cream light #fff0c9 blooms softly in the upper right. Surface tension climbs to 76, making each fold swell and bend more than the default, which gives a 3D chrome focal point for covers and hero sections.
Make it yours
Move the knot off-center
Position X and Position Y both sit at 50, which parks the vortex core in the middle. Slide Position X to around 70 to leave room for a headline on the left, or simply drag the artwork to place it.
Cool the sun down
Keep the vortex but swap Second color from amber to a pale gold, or lower Reflection contrast from 72 to about 50 so the dark creases lift and the whole swirl reads softer and more editorial.
FAQ
Where does the orange glow in Solar fold come from?
Two settings share the work: Second color is an amber #e49b48 that fills the warm side of every reflection, and Light color is a warm cream #fff0c9 instead of the default pale mint. With Light direction at 115, that cream catches the upper right of the vortex like late sun.
How it works
Choose a surface
Start from one of 16 looks such as Copper current, Glacial chrome or Champagne foil, or pick one of 8 sculptures.
Direct the reflections
Adjust fold frequency, surface tension, fine ripples, polish, light direction, reflection contrast, color dispersion and sculptural depth, then drag the artwork to place it.
Color and use it
