Velvet medallion: small dusky rosettes spaced out on deep plum
Velvet medallion shares the Rosette pattern with Sunday rosettes but reads as quieter and more formal. Grid density 9 makes the flowers smaller, and Module spacing at 24, higher than any look except Electric quilt, shrinks each one inside its cell so they float like embroidered medallions on a deep plum Background. Dusty rose, muted violet and old gold, with a peach and an orchid pink blended from the rose, give it the soft sheen of vintage velvet.
Make it yours
Go tone on tone
Lower Ink strength from 96 to 70 and the rosettes sink slightly into the plum, like a tone-on-tone jacquard. It works well behind white serif type on a beauty or fashion page.
Set them turning slowly
Press Play with the default Organic Motion behavior and the lobes of each rosette slowly rotate while the flowers gently pulse. Reduce Movement speed to 6 and Movement intensity to 30 for a hypnotic, barely there movement.
FAQ
Is Velvet medallion subtle enough for a luxury or beauty brand?
Yes, it is one of the most restrained looks in the tool. The small rosettes, wide spacing and muted rose, violet and gold keep it elegant rather than loud. For an even quieter background, raise Module spacing further or set Film grain to 0 for a smoother, cleaner finish.
