Cobalt Tunnel: nested squares zooming into the center
Cobalt Tunnel stacks white and cobalt squares inside one another, each about an eighth larger than the last, so the bands shrink toward a vanishing point and the frame reads as a corridor. Because the spacing is geometric, every square looks like the previous one at a smaller scale, which lets the zoom run forever without a visible restart. A light Twist at Spatial depth 20 turns the walls a little more at each step, and on Flow they rush outward past you every 6 seconds.
Make it yours
Wind the walls into a spiral
Spatial depth sets how much the tunnel twists. At 20 the squares only lean; push it toward 100 and the walls wind into a tight spiral. Set Distortion field to None for a perfectly straight corridor.
Round or radiate the tunnel
Mark shape changes the walls. Square gives this corridor, Round makes a circular tunnel, and Line replaces the rings with spiral arms that turn around the vanishing point like a hypnotic disc.
FAQ
How can a tunnel zoom loop forever without jumping?
The squares are spaced by a fixed ratio instead of a fixed distance. Once each one has moved out to where its neighbor was, the picture is identical to how it began, so the loop repeats endlessly and the eye never catches a seam.
How it works
Choose a starting point
Start from one of 16 looks such as Riley Current, Cobalt Tunnel or Moiré Twins, or pick one of 8 pattern geometries, from Halftone and Checkerboard to Moiré and Weave.
Bend the pattern
Pick a Mark shape and a Distortion field such as Lens, Pinch, Fold or Twist, set Pattern density, Mark weight, Spatial depth, Wave distortion and Color separation, then drag the artwork to position it.
Loop it and use it
Press Play to run a seamless Flow, Breathe or Counterflow loop, set the two inks, Light color and Backlight, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
