Night Conference: a black conference poster with silk-ribbon waves
Night Conference turns the caption plate into a stage. Sixty-four white wave lines drift across the upper part of a near-black sheet, each shifted a little along its length so the band twists like a silk ribbon, and a single red strand runs through them as the lead line. Below the caption rule, Interface 26 is set in the Wide typeface over two lines, with the programme copy and the mono settings table to its right.
Make it yours
Twist the ribbon harder
Warp controls how far each wave strand slides along the band, which is what makes it twist. At 20 the ribbon folds gently; raise Warp to 60 for tight moiré knots, or set it to 0 for strands that run almost parallel.
Recolor the lead line
The Accent strand is the only color on this sheet, so it carries the brand. Swap the red for your event color and keep Ink near white, so the 64 hairlines still glow against the black paper.
FAQ
Why does only one wave line show up in red?
With the Clean finish, the poster draws all strands in shades of Ink and adds one lead strand in the Accent whenever Accent differs from Ink. It gives the eye a single path through a dense field, the way a chart highlights one series among many.
