Soft duotone: a smooth purple-to-pink capsule with no dot pattern
Soft duotone drops the dots, glyphs and tiles entirely. The duotone effect maps the capsule's shading onto a continuous ramp between a deep purple Ink and a pale pink Light color, and Contrast is eased from 120 to 100 to make the transition gradual. The capsule is tipped forward at Rotate X 55, which shows its rounded end and gives a soft, pill-like object for wellness, beauty or onboarding screens.
Make it yours
Pick a two-color brand pair
Everything is drawn from Ink and Light color. Choose your darkest brand color for Ink and a pale tint for Light color; capsule and backdrop then stay inside your palette automatically.
Add punch without adding grain
If the form feels too flat against the pink, move Contrast from 100 up to 125. Shadows get closer to pure Ink while the surface stays smooth, unlike the halftone or dither effects.
FAQ
When should I choose duotone over halftone?
Choose duotone when you want the color discipline of a two-ink print but a clean, modern surface. Halftone adds texture and a vintage feel; duotone keeps soft gradients, so it sits more quietly behind interface elements and text.
