Deep current: a dense fluid art background of blue tides at night
Deep current keeps the Tide structure but turns it up: Fold complexity 6 and Fluid tension 82 bend the four membranes into rippling, overlapping sheets that fill the entire frame. Ocean blue sinks into the folds, ice aqua catches along the ridges and the near-black background only shows in the gaps between layers. It feels like looking down into moving water, a strong match for sleep, music and deep-focus apps in dark mode.
Make it yours
Quiet the water under text
With this many ripples, small type can get lost. Reduce Fold complexity to 4 and lower Movement intensity from 55 to about 25 before pressing Play, so the tides stay slow behind the copy.
Open gaps around the sheets
Subject scale is 100, so the tides run past every edge. Drop it to 70 and more of the near-black Background appears between and around the sheets, turning the pattern into a floating form.
FAQ
Can a fluid art background be animated?
Yes. Press Play and the membranes flow on their own, while the frame stays fixed. For Deep current, Breathe gives a slow swell of tension and Organic keeps the water drifting, and Movement speed, starting at 12, sets the pace.
How it works
Shape a membrane
Start from one of 16 looks such as Estuary, Blue organism or Living corona, or pick one of 8 flow structures.
Soften its flow
Adjust fold complexity, fluid tension, filament density, translucency, edge contrast, iridescence and edge softness, then drag the artwork to position the focal point.
Color and use it
Set the background, first, second and light colors, press Play for a slow movement, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
