Index: a forest green catalogue poster with a fine spirograph
Index has the manners of a reference library. It stays in the default split layout, with "Everything, filed." stacked on the left, and replaces the rosette with a spirograph whose Symmetry of 13 and Resonance of 3 spin out a ring of many small, even lobes. Forest green Ink, a brass Accent and cool grey-green paper recall cloth-bound reference books, while Warp at 22 bends the figure just enough to stop it looking like a gear.
Make it yours
Turn the dial
Phase is set to 200 and decides how the two spinning motions line up. Moving it in small steps re-orients the lobes relative to the headline, so you can pick the angle where the figure and the stacked words feel balanced.
Fit a longer catalogue title
In the split layout every word of the Headline gets its own line. Titles of two to four words work best; for anything longer, move the detail into Body, which wraps on its own below.
FAQ
What kinds of projects suit the Index preset?
Anything that organizes knowledge: documentation home pages, design system covers, reading lists, archive and library sites, course catalogues. The regular, countable lobes of the spirograph hint at order and classification, and the green and brass palette keeps it scholarly without feeling dated.
