Liquid chrome text: mirror metal letters in a dark studio
Liquid chrome is the default 3D Text Lab look: heavy grotesk capitals with deep rounded bevels, finished as a perfect mirror. Each face reflects a dark photo studio with a wide band of light and a hairline strip, so bright streaks run through every letter while the edges catch the upright strip lights, the chrome of Y2K posters and album covers.
Make it yours
Tint the metal
Letter color is the metal's own reflectance. Keep it near white for chrome, or warm it toward amber or rose for brass and copper under the same studio light.
Melt it
Raise Bevel toward 100 for thick rounded edges that catch more of the strip lights, or pick Inflated as the bevel shape for soft, melted liquid metal letters.
