Soft transmission: a glowing oval of fine salmon scan lines
Soft transmission is the quiet side of the Scan geometry, with a Pattern density of 74 that stacks 59 thin bars into a tall oval. The bars glow salmon pink against a dusky violet Background, and a low Color separation of 15 leaves only a faint lilac edge where the offset copies peek out. It feels closer to a low sun seen through a screen door than to a glitch, which makes it an easy fit for wellness, music and lifestyle pages.
Make it yours
Warm or cool the glow
Second color sets the salmon #d99c87 that fills most of each bar, because that copy is drawn on top. Change it to a pale blue or mint for a cooler signal, and keep the Background dark enough that the lines still separate.
Add a gentle sway
Set Motion behavior to Breathe and the bars sway back and forth instead of flowing one way. Keep Movement intensity near 30 so the oval ripples softly, a calm loop for a waiting or loading screen.
FAQ
How is Soft transmission different from Spectral scan?
Both draw a globe of horizontal bars, but Soft transmission packs in more and thinner lines, 59 against 38, and lowers Color separation from 32 to 15. The result is hazy rather than glitchy, and Spatial depth at 75 makes each bar a touch thicker than its Mark weight alone would.
How it works
Choose a visual system
Start from one of 16 looks such as Signal field, Interference study or Electric passage, or pick one of 8 pattern geometries.
Tune the illusion
Adjust pattern density, mark weight, spatial depth, wave distortion, pattern phase and color separation, then drag the artwork to position it.
Set it in motion
Press Play to move the marks as a flow, a breath or a counterflow, set the colors, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
