16-bit: finer pixels and softly dithered shading in 64 colors
16-bit takes the look of 16-bit era console games, with smaller 8-pixel blocks and Resurrect 64, Kerrie Lake's 64-color palette whose long ramps run from deep shadow to soft highlight. Floyd-Steinberg dithering at a Dither strength of 45 blends neighbouring colors just enough to model faces and light, and a light Outline of 25 keeps silhouettes crisp.
Make it yours
Smoother or flatter
Raise Dither strength to 80 for photographic gradients with visible grain, or set Dithering to None for flat cel-shaded areas that look painted pixel by pixel.
Bring out the palette
Resurrect 64 has long ramps of teals, pinks and warm oranges. Raise Saturation to 30 on dull photos, and Brightness to 10 if the deep purples swallow the shadows.
