Wasabi Signal: a chrome horse head outlined in acid green
Wasabi Signal uses the Color gels rig with an acid-green Gel light (#D4FF3A), so the horse head is drawn by bright green rims on either side and a green glow rising from underneath. The Backdrop is almost black and Floor is set to Glossy floor, which mirrors the head and its plinth in the dark below. Exposure 115 makes the green read like a signal light, an accent that suits gaming, audio and developer products.
Make it yours
Keep the green saturated
Very bright light rolls off toward white, so too much Exposure bleaches the hottest rims. If they look pale on your screen, lower Exposure to 100, or nudge Gel light toward a deeper lime like #A8F000.
Drop the reflection for small sizes
Glossy floor doubles the shape, which looks great in a hero but can crowd a small card. Switch Floor to Contact shadow, or to Floating, to leave only the green-lit head on black.
FAQ
Which colors work best as a Gel light on a black backdrop?
Saturated, bright hues hold up best: acid green, hot pink, electric blue or orange. On a near-black Backdrop they become the only color in the frame, so one strong gel does more than several muted ones. Dark or greyish gels mostly disappear.
How it works
Choose a form
Pick one of 10 built-in shapes, try a sample model such as the Marble bust, Lion head or Conch shell, or import a GLB, OBJ or STL model up to 20 MB.
Light the studio
Choose a Lighting rig such as Studio softboxes, Strip lights, Color gels or Horizon '84, set the Floor to Contact shadow, Glossy floor or Floating, and pick the Backdrop, Metal and Gel light colors.
Finish and use it
Tune Roughness, Brushed finish, Iridescence, Liquid distortion and Flow speed, preview the result in landing, card and mobile layouts, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
