Horizon '84: a chrome bust reflecting a 1980s sky
Horizon '84 borrows the look of 1980s chrome lettering for a classical bust. The Horizon '84 rig surrounds it with a blue sky from Gel light (#4F86E8), a white-hot horizon line and a dark ground that glows burnt orange, so the upper planes of the face mirror blue and the lower ones turn copper. Floor is set to Floating, with no shadow or reflection, and the bust hangs on a deep indigo Backdrop like a title card.
Make it yours
Recolor the sky
Gel light sets the sky, and the ground takes its opposite hue automatically. Try hot pink #FF3E9A for a sunset sky over a green ground, or a teal that sits over warm red earth.
Sharpen or bloom the horizon
Roughness is only 3, which keeps the horizon a thin, bright line across the chrome. Raise it to 20 and the line blooms into a soft glow, closer to airbrushed chrome than to a hard-edged reflection.
FAQ
Can I put this 1980s chrome on my own logo?
Yes, if you have it as a 3D model. Import a GLB, OBJ or STL of your logo or lettering and it takes the same sky, horizon line and orange ground as the bust. Turn it with Rotate X and Rotate Y until the horizon crosses the letters where you want it.
