Cobalt Anodized: a mirror-blue duck styled like a gallery sculpture
Cobalt Anodized turns a humble rubber duck into a glossy gallery piece. Metal is a saturated cobalt (#2B44FF), so the whole body reflects in deep blue while the Studio softboxes rig paints clean white highlights across the head and back, and the chalk-white Backdrop with a contact shadow grounds it like a sculpture on a plinth. Roughness 6 is low enough for crisp reflections but takes the hard edge off the brightest lights.
Make it yours
Try other anodized colors
Anodized metal comes in strong, clean hues, so Metal is the control to play with. Magenta #E0218A, teal #00A6A6 or orange #FF6A13 all keep the same glossy, toy-like look against the chalk background.
Show off the softboxes
Light panels is 3 here. Set it to 4 to bring back the rig's second rim light, or turn Rotate Y until the big key reflection runs the full length of the duck's back.
FAQ
Is Cobalt Anodized real anodizing or just colored chrome?
It is colored reflectance: the cobalt Metal value tints every reflection blue, and only the brightest highlights roll off to white, much like anodized aluminum. Real anodizing also adds a clear oxide layer; for that layered shimmer, add a little Iridescence on top.
How it works
Choose a form
Pick one of 10 built-in shapes, try a sample model such as the Marble bust, Lion head or Conch shell, or import a GLB, OBJ or STL model up to 20 MB.
Light the studio
Choose a Lighting rig such as Studio softboxes, Strip lights, Color gels or Horizon '84, set the Floor to Contact shadow, Glossy floor or Floating, and pick the Backdrop, Metal and Gel light colors.
Finish and use it
