Aurora curtain: green rays folding across a black night sky
Aurora curtain raises the Curtain structure into the northern lights: a long band of vertical green rays climbs across a black sky and folds back on itself, and every fold seen edge-on burns into a bright ribbon. Toward their tops the rays fade from green into the blue Second color, and a faint glow runs along the curtain's lower edge. Translucency 92, the highest of the set, keeps the light strong even though each ray is thin.
Make it yours
Fold the curtain more often
Fold complexity sets how many times the curtain folds across the sky. At 4 it turns back once or twice; at 7 or 8 it pleats into a row of bright bands, like an active display.
Let the rays shimmer
Choose Light sweep under Motion behavior and the iridescent fringe swells and fades as the curtain moves, closer to a real aurora flickering than the default Organic drift.
FAQ
Can Aurora curtain run as a moving background?
Yes. Press Play and the curtain ripples in a seamless loop of about 16.7 seconds at the default Movement speed of 12. Use it on the UX Pilot canvas or export it as HTML to keep it moving on a page.
How it works
Pick a structure
Start from one of 16 looks such as Plum smoke, Aurora curtain or Spectral prism, or choose one of 8 flow structures: tide, iris, wings, cells, division, shell, curtain or corona.
Tune the light
Shape it with fold complexity, fluid tension and filament density, then set translucency, edge contrast, the iridescent edge and membrane edge softness for the glow. Drag the artwork to place it.
Color and use it
Set the background, first, second and light colors, press Play for a seamless loop of about 17 seconds, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
