What size should an OG image be?

Use 1200x630 pixels, a 1.91:1 ratio. Facebook recommends at least 1200x630 for sharp previews on high resolution screens, LinkedIn asks for at least 1200x627, and X shows summary_large_image cards at about 2:1, so keep important text away from the top and bottom edges. This tool always exports exactly 1200x630.

Which meta tags does a share image need?

og:title, og:description, og:image and og:url cover Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord and iMessage, and twitter:card set to summary_large_image makes X show the large card. Copy meta tags gives you all of them, plus the image size and alt text, ready to paste into the head of your page.

Does it handle long titles and Chinese, Japanese or Korean text?

Yes. Titles shrink and wrap to fit their space, Chinese and Japanese break between characters, and copy that is still too long ends with an ellipsis instead of running off the image. The fonts are the ones installed on your device, so the preview and the PNG match.
