LED matrix: a photo burned into a board of amber bulbs
LED matrix turns the frame into a black panel of round bulbs spaced by Cell size 10, and each bulb burns as bright as the picture at its center, from a faint unlit dot to a white-hot core. In the preview the peach glow around the ultraviolet mushroom lights most of the board close to white, while the violet cap and gills, darker in brightness terms, sink into a shape of dim and unlit bulbs. Glow at 60 wraps every bulb in a wide amber halo, and Strength at 50 lets the midtones burn orange while only the brightest patches turn white.
Make it yours
Light each bulb in the photo's colors
Ink starts on Signature, so every bulb glows the same amber. Switch Ink to Photo colors and each one takes the hue beneath it, so the mushroom shows as dim violet bulbs against a board of warm peach.
Change the bulb pitch
Cell size 10 gives a fine panel. Raise it to 18 for a chunky stadium scoreboard with fewer, larger bulbs, and lower Glow to about 30 so neighboring halos stop merging into one wash of orange.
FAQ
Why is the mushroom darker than its background in the LED matrix preview?
Each bulb is lit by brightness alone, and the violet cap and gills are much darker in brightness terms than the peach glow behind them. So the mushroom reads as a cluster of dim bulbs inside a glowing board. Raise Brightness or lower Color contrast if you want the subject itself to light up.
