Contour map: a photo traced as gold contour lines
Contour map uses the Topography style, which softens the picture, reads its brightness as height and traces that terrain with contour lines lit from the upper left, so ridges catch a highlight. Cell size 11 sets how closely the lines are packed, Brightness 23 raises the whole landscape, and the Signature Ink draws everything in gold over near-black with a vignette in the corners. In the preview the copper-lit profile turns into a dark silhouette traced by a bright gold line along the ear, jaw and collar, with fine gold contours over the hair and skin, while the olive wall breaks into pools of gold toward the edges of the frame.
Make it yours
Space the lines out
Contours pack more tightly as Cell size goes down. Try 5 for fine rings that look almost engraved, or 20 for fewer, bolder lines that leave more of the dark ground visible.
Draw it in another color
Switch Ink to Tint color and the lines take your Tint over a ground that is a deep shade of the same hue. Photo colors traces every contour in the picture's own color instead of gold.
FAQ
Does the Contour map preset use real elevation data?
No. It treats light areas as high ground and dark areas as low ground, so the map follows the photo's tones and not any real place. Strength sets how much relief the lighting adds, from a flatter line drawing at 0 to deeper shading and brighter glints at 100.
