Comic book: flat poster color with inked outlines
With Strength at 50, Comic book softens the picture a touch and rounds each color channel to five levels, so smooth gradients become flat bands of poster color. Wherever the brightness turns sharply a dark ink line is drawn on top, and Color contrast at its default of 100 crushes the dark teal sky and the branches in the preview to solid black. What remains of the coral magnolia is two blossoms cut into flat shapes of coral, red, peach and pale yellow, outlined in ink, with a few red leaves glinting in the dark.

Choose how many color steps
Strength decides the levels per channel. At 20 there are only three, for a stark screen-printed feel, while 85 gives seven and keeps more of the soft shading inside the petals.
Ink more or fewer lines
Dark cut-off sets how sharp a change must be before it gets inked. Lower it from 30 to 10 to outline softer edges such as petal veins and thin twigs, or raise it to 60 so only the strongest contours keep a line.
FAQ
Does the Comic book preset add halftone dots?
No. It keeps to flat fills and ink outlines, closer to a cel-shaded panel or a screen-printed poster. For printed dots, switch to the CMYK print or Newsprint preset in the same lab, which build the image from dot screens instead.
