Silver on bone: a polished chrome torus on bone-white paper
Silver on bone places the Annulus sculpture as a single polished torus in the Object composition, centered on bone-white paper with a soft shadow underneath. Because the Background is light, the studio becomes a white cyclorama with two black flags, and the mirror chrome picks them up as the dark bands that give the ring its shape. Gray Light color and Second light keep the whole shot quiet and almost colorless.
Make it yours
Make it a floor of rings
Switch Composition from Object to Full bleed and the same torus turns into concentric ripples that fill the frame, the setup behind Molten copper.
Darken the flags
Reflection contrast 60 sets how dark the studio's flags and cavities read in the chrome. Raise it to 90 for bolder black bands and a crisper ring.
FAQ
Why does the chrome in Silver on bone look gray rather than white?
A mirror takes its color from the room. Here the room is bone-white paper with gray lights and dark flags, so the chrome reflects soft grays and a few dark bands instead of bright highlights.
