Gold leaf: crinkled gilt glowing under a single softbox
Gold leaf zooms into the Vault sculpture at Fold frequency 1, where it becomes one large, gentle dome, and wraps it in the Foil material with Color dispersion at 0, so the foil reads as pure gold rather than holographic film. Fine ripples 85 crinkles the leaf into hundreds of small facets: those facing the Softbox glow a warm yellow, and the ones turned away break into dark brown flecks. Subject scale 120 crops tight enough that the dome fills the frame like a gilded wall.
Make it yours
Smooth the gilding
Fine ripples at 85 crinkles the leaf hard. Drop it to 25 and the facets grow large and flat, so the dome reads as hammered gold rather than freshly laid leaf.
Make it holographic
Raise Color dispersion from 0 to 70 and the same crinkled foil starts to split into rainbow facets, with gold still showing through wherever the film is thin.
FAQ
How do Gold leaf and Holographic foil differ?
Both use the Foil material. Gold leaf keeps Color dispersion at 0 and a warm gold Metal color, so each facet reflects plain gold light, while Holographic foil turns the dispersion to full and lets a thin film color every facet.
How it works
Choose a shoot
Start from one of 16 looks such as Chrome ribbon, Holographic foil or Burgundy lacquer, or pick one of 8 sculptures and one of 7 materials.
Light it
Choose a lighting rig and a composition (full bleed, object or horizon), then set polish, light direction, reflection contrast, color dispersion, fine ripples and sculptural depth.
Color and use it
Set the background, metal, second light and light colors, press Play for a seamless loop of about 18 seconds, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
