Chrome ribbon: a twisted mirror ribbon under one strip light
Chrome ribbon is the default Luminous Alloy shoot: one mirror-chrome ribbon, set by the Ribbon sculpture with the Object composition, twists across a black studio and floats free of any floor. The Strip light rig hangs a single long white strip in the dark, so every twist that faces it picks up a crisp line of light while the rest of the chrome mirrors the black room. Polish 96 and Fine ripples 0 keep those lines perfectly clean, like a product shot on a black sweep.

Twist it more
Fold frequency 2 gives the ribbon about two half-turns across the frame. Raise it to 5 and the band spins faster, throwing a quick run of highlight lines along its length.
Swing the strip around
Light direction 100 sets where the strip sits around the ribbon. Turn it toward 200 and the highlights jump to other twists, while the faces that were lit fall back into black.
FAQ
Why is Chrome ribbon mostly black if it is chrome?
A mirror only shows what it reflects. The studio around it is dark apart from one strip light and a dim fill, so most of the chrome mirrors black and only the twists angled toward the strip turn bright white.
