Swirl Candy: a twisted mesh gradient in hot pink, violet and cyan
With Swirl at 75, this look winds a Candy-colored mesh around the middle of the frame like a lollipop. Hot pink, violet and sky cyan are dragged into a spiral that is tightest at the center and loosens toward the edges, over a pale pink base. Distort at 45 and Soft at 55 keep the arms of the spiral smooth, so it reads as motion frozen in place even though nothing is animated.
Make it yours
Loosen or tighten the twist
At 40, Swirl gives a gentle S-curve through the colors; at 100 the center winds into a tight knot. The preset sits at 75. Keep Distort near 45 so the arms stay smooth while you adjust.
Set the spiral in motion
Animate is off in this look. Switch it on with Speed around 20 and the mesh under the twist starts to drift, which makes the spiral feel alive without turning it into a loading spinner.
FAQ
Where does a swirl gradient fit in a product?
In moments that are allowed to be decorative: a welcome screen, a campaign header, a story or a social card. The spiral pulls the eye to the center of the frame, so put one short message there, as in the Welcome and Story previews, and avoid running long paragraphs across it.
How it works
Pick a starting point
Start from one of 28 looks such as Soft Mesh, Eclipse Rays or Riso Halftone, or choose a gradient type and one of 24 palettes.
Tune the gradient
Adjust scale, distortion, swirl and softness, add grain, glass panes or glass tiles, a dot, grid or line overlay, a second blended layer or a treatment such as halftone or pixel sort, and switch animation on with its own speed.
Preview and use it
See the gradient in landing page, card, mobile and sign up layouts, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
