Radar Conic: a neon conic gradient that sweeps like a radar screen
Radar Conic spins acid green, magenta and cyan around one point, the way a radar beam sweeps its screen. It is a Conic gradient with Angle at 0 on the Neon palette, over a base that is almost black. Vignette rises to 45, so the corners sink away and the sweep glows in the middle: loud on purpose, for game launches, club nights and hackathon pages.
Make it yours
Rotate the sweep
Angle starts at 0. Turn it to 90 or 180 to move where green hands over to magenta, which matters when a headline sits on one side. Switching Animate on makes the whole sweep rotate slowly.
Fold it into a kaleidoscope
Set Mirror to Quad and the conic sweep repeats in four directions. Pair that with a lower Intensity, around 45 instead of 60, if the neon starts to overpower buttons and body text.
FAQ
Can I keep text readable on a neon conic gradient?
Yes, with some care. The near-black base and a Vignette of 45 already give you dark areas at the edges, so place copy there and set Text color to Light text. If the center is still too hot, lower Intensity or put your text on a solid surface, as in the Card preview.
How it works
Pick a starting point
Start from one of 28 looks such as Soft Mesh, Eclipse Rays or Riso Halftone, or choose a gradient type and one of 24 palettes.
Tune the gradient
Adjust scale, distortion, swirl and softness, add grain, glass panes or glass tiles, a dot, grid or line overlay, a second blended layer or a treatment such as halftone or pixel sort, and switch animation on with its own speed.
Preview and use it
See the gradient in landing page, card, mobile and sign up layouts, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
