Ocean Waves: layered teal and seafoam wave gradient with slow motion
Ocean Waves replaces the soft blend with shape: seven wave layers stacked down the frame, colored from teal through seafoam mint to ocean blue on a deep teal base. Soft is cut to 15, so each crest has a clean edge, like layered paper. Animate is on at Speed 25, the slowest of the moving looks, and the layers roll at slightly different rates.
Make it yours
Change the number of swells
Fewer, bigger swells leave room for a headline, so try Bands at 4 instead of 7. At 12 the sea gets busier and works better as a footer or a section divider.
Blur the crests into mist
Soft is just 15 to keep the edges crisp. At 50 the layers dissolve into each other and the look shifts from paper cutout to sea fog. Keep Speed low so the motion stays tidal.
FAQ
Can I use the wave gradient as a still image?
Yes. Turn Animate off and the waves freeze where they are, then choose an Aspect ratio such as 16:9 or 9:16 to frame them. PNG is one of the export formats, next to HTML and JSON. Exporting needs a free UX Pilot account; trying the look in the browser is free.
How it works
Pick a starting point
Start from one of 28 looks such as Soft Mesh, Eclipse Rays or Riso Halftone, or choose a gradient type and one of 24 palettes.
Tune the gradient
Adjust scale, distortion, swirl and softness, add grain, glass panes or glass tiles, a dot, grid or line overlay, a second blended layer or a treatment such as halftone or pixel sort, and switch animation on with its own speed.
Preview and use it
See the gradient in landing page, card, mobile and sign up layouts, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
