Neon Blobs: drifting hot pink, violet and cyan blobs on pale pink
Three soft-edged circles in hot pink, violet and sky cyan float over a pale pink base in Neon Blobs. The Blobs type keeps each color as its own shape instead of blending everything, and with Animate on, the shapes wander a short way around their home positions. Soft at 55 feathers the edges into a glow, a young, upbeat mood for consumer apps, onboarding and kids' products.
Make it yours
Sharpen into flat shapes
Take Soft from 55 down to 10 and the blobs become crisp discs, closer to cut paper than to light. Add a Pattern of Dots at a low Pattern amount for a Memphis-style poster feel.
Set the pace of the drift
Speed stays at the default 30, a lazy float. For a splash screen go up to 60; behind a form, 10 to 15 keeps the motion barely there.
FAQ
What is the difference between a blob gradient and a mesh gradient?
A mesh blends its color spots into one continuous field. The Blobs type keeps them apart: each color is a circle with its own soft edge, sitting on the base color. Neon Blobs and Swirl Candy share the Candy palette, so switching between the two shows the difference clearly.
How it works
Pick a starting point
Start from one of 28 looks such as Soft Mesh, Eclipse Rays or Riso Halftone, or choose a gradient type and one of 24 palettes.
Tune the gradient
Adjust scale, distortion, swirl and softness, add grain, glass panes or glass tiles, a dot, grid or line overlay, a second blended layer or a treatment such as halftone or pixel sort, and switch animation on with its own speed.
Preview and use it
See the gradient in landing page, card, mobile and sign up layouts, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
