Halftone Dusk: a radial gradient in indigo and pink under a dot screen
A screen of small light dots covers a Radial gradient in Halftone Dusk, borrowing the look of halftone print. The Midnight Bloom palette moves from deep indigo through periwinkle blue to hot pink over a near-black base, and Soft at 70 stretches that radial falloff wide. Pattern is set to Dots at size 10 and amount 60: texture from a distance, a lattice of points up close.
Make it yours
Scale the dots to the format
The dots are tuned for desktop heroes. For the Story or Mobile preview raise Pattern size from 10 to 18 or more so they stay visible, and lower Pattern amount to 40 if they start to glare.
Try hatching instead of dots
Switch Pattern from Dots to Lines for diagonal hatching over the same radial glow, or to Grid for a technical feel. Grain stays at the default 18, so the overlay is the only texture you are changing.
FAQ
Is this a true halftone where dot size follows brightness?
No. The dots are an even overlay, all the same size, laid on top of the gradient. The halftone impression comes from the fine spacing and from the pink and blue glow showing between the points. That keeps the texture predictable: it never breaks up your type the way a brightness-driven halftone can.
How it works
Pick a starting point
Start from one of 28 looks such as Soft Mesh, Eclipse Rays or Riso Halftone, or choose a gradient type and one of 24 palettes.
Tune the gradient
Adjust scale, distortion, swirl and softness, add grain, glass panes or glass tiles, a dot, grid or line overlay, a second blended layer or a treatment such as halftone or pixel sort, and switch animation on with its own speed.
Preview and use it
See the gradient in landing page, card, mobile and sign up layouts, then sign in with a free UX Pilot account to use it on the canvas or export it.
